|
This is a yellow daisy-like flower with a single yellow-green, leafy stem. There may be several flowers on a single stem and they may be up to 4cm diameter. They may have a slight scent but often they are scentless. It grows in dry rocky areas, fern beds and Diddle-dee heath. It is similar to Falkland Wooly Ragwort which grows in a compact bush. Flowers November to February.
Widespread throughout the Falkland Islands in acid grassland, dwarf shrub heath, inland rock, and sometimes in fachine scrub, tussac, maritime cliffs and slopes and coastal grassland. Endemic, only found in the Falkland Islands.
